Genomsläpplig asfalt för skyfall
Mål, syfte och förväntad nytta
The purpose is to exploit and evaluate the possibility of introducing permeable asphalt surfacing in Sweden. The studied material will be based on a polyurethane binder previously tested in pilots abroad. The project includes learnings from previous studies, investigation of technical properties and requirements in relation to Swedish condition, legislation, and work environment requirements as well as development of case studies in relation to the need and area monitoring for pilot selection.
The goal is to prevent effects of heavy rain as flooding, water pollution and traffic accidents.
The expected results is a plan of a following pilot in Stockholm.
The effect is increased knowledge about if and how permeable asphalt can be implemented in Sweden.
Projektets behovsägare
Peab Asfalt is a need owner in the project since they have a need to deliver permeable asphalt safely and efficiently to their customers. Peab Asfalt will participate in project meetings and play an active role in all project phases, especially in WP 1 and 2. Stockholm Stad is the end user of the developed materials. Stockholm Stad has a need to find alternatives to regular impermeable asphalt to manage heavy rain. The solution fulfills these needs. Stockholm Stad will participate in project meetings and play an active role in all project phases, especially in WP 4 (planning of pilot) and WP 3 decision support.
